Statement

In my works conflicts can be found between the illusory space and the actual space, between intentionally shaped representation and concrete matter. These conflicts are not to be resolved, rather, they inform or are informed by the uncertainty of genre. My works might be seen as sculpture, installation, drawing, performative or process-based, or something in between. With a starting point in a notion of body, the works form a basis for an ongoing investigation on the relations between visuality and touch.
